High pressure still remains in place for the region, which will continue to promote mostly dry and sunny conditions for the weekend and early next week. Isolated pop-up showers and a thunderstorm have been possible over the past few days and will continue to show very limited effects through Sunday. With recent model runs for today, the chances have been greatly reduced for the afternoon as moisture in the lower-levels has been lowered. Mostly sunny conditions will progress through Sunday, but will open up a bit more of a risk for one of these isolated shower/storms to bubble up mid-afternoon. If any showers/storms do initiate and bubble up, they will once again be slow movers and could dump some moderate-heavy rainfall in quick succession. Temperatures try to linger in the mid-80s, but upper 80s is possible with some strong daytime heating and calmer winds. Conditions remain dry and clear through early next week in the presence of the next organized system and waves of unsettled weather for Tuesday night through Friday.
