Forecast Discussion

The cold front moved in late last night, bringing with it some cold arctic air. Unlike yesterday with the spring-like temperatures, we will be seeing temperatures only a few degrees above freezing. Cloudy skies will also remain throughout the day Saturday. Another system will begin to enter the area Saturday night causing the cloudy skies to persist and for temperatures to drop into the upper teens. The arctic air that this system brings will keep temperatures in the low-30s for Sunday afternoon. Sunday night there is a chance for some light snow flurries due to these cold temperatures with little to no accumulation expected.

Monday an upper-level trough will move through the area causing freezing temperatures to persist throughout the day. However, as we continue into next week an upper-level ridge will enter our area Tuesday and stay through Wednesday causing a warm-up midweek. Tuesday’s temperatures will be in the mid-40s and Wednesday we may see a high in the upper-50s.
