Forecast Discussion
After the passage of a cold front last night that brought snow to the region, high pressure at the surface has begun to settle in. This will mean increasing sunshine today as clouds continue to clear out as well as colder temperatures associated with that cold air mass. Temperatures are unfortunately going to linger in the mid-30s to low 40s over the next couple of days with overnight lows into the teens.
Next week will start very similar with sunny and dry conditions, but as an upper-level disturbance moves through another low-pressure system is expected to make its way through the region. With this surface low, rain chances are expected to return on Tuesday and mainly Wednesday. Thankfully, this also will mean some warmer temperatures in the mid-50s by Wednesday. Warm temperatures won’t last too long though as another cold front is anticipated later next week.
