A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from the NWS through 4:00 PM today. Overnight, snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches were expected that could create slippery road conditions for the morning commute. While snow will taper off this morning, it is advised to exercise caution throughout the day as there may be slick spots on the road.

The upper-level trough that brought the snow will move off to the east throughout Saturday, but clouds will stick around. Clouds will clear some beginning Sunday morning as upper-level ridging and high-pressure settles in bringing a break in the snow. However, a cut-off low is expected to progress eastward bringing down cold air from the north. An arctic cold front will accompany the low as high temperatures by early week will plummet to near 20 degrees and overnight lows in the single digits to near zero. While precipitation is limited with this front, a few scattered flurries or light snow showers are possible. Otherwise, it will remain cloudy with a mix of sun. It is likely wind chills can be near zero or even below zero, so it is important to bundle up and stay warm for the first week of classes; especially for morning classes. Behind this arctic front, high-pressure will settle in with a mix of sun and clouds and chilly conditions.
