Our peaceful pattern persists today with sunny skies expected, as temperatures reach a high of 84 degrees. Winds will be 0-5 mph from the north-northeast. Despite pressure remaining somewhat lower, likely due to our placement in an upper-atmosphere trough, these cloudless and stable conditions will continue into the night, reaching a low of 59 degrees. Winds from the north-northeast will become calm, as this quiet night continues on.
A few clouds will move into the area tomorrow morning, becoming partly cloudy by the afternoon. Winds from the east initially will shift to blow from the west-southwest, at around 0-5 mph throughout the day. Pressure continues to gradually build, even with a slight drop during the day. Long term, this climbing pressure will continue to build as we slowly push out of a trough and into a ridging pattern, but despite higher pressures, some scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Temperatures will also trend to become hot, entering the low 90s by midweek.
