Forecast Discussion

High pressure will move out of the area this afternoon as an upper-level shortwave trough will progress through the Ohio Valley tonight through Sunday morning. This will provide rising motion for showers and a possible storm or two. Once the trough moves out, high pressure will settle in for Monday, but it won’t last for long. An occluded midlatitude cyclone from Canada will make its way east pushing a cold front along with it. This will provide instability for some showers and storms to occur on Tuesday and Wednesday with greater chances for storms on Wednesday. None are severe at this time.
