Forecast Discussion

After a rather active Friday, upper level ridging as well as surface high pressure will build into the area today, clearing skies out by the afternoon. This will keep conditions dry throughout the weekend and into early next week. Winds will still remain rather gusty through tonight as a pressure gradient still remains relatively tight. Chances for precipitation will return to the area Monday evening as a low pressure system approaches the Great Lakes region, sending a warm front into our area and providing temperatures in the 70s. An associated cold front will then pass through Monday evening, dropping temperatures back into the 50s for Tuesday. After the passage of the low, upper level ridging will make a return, keeping things dry for much of the week. Model guidance shows precipitation chances arriving once again towards the end of the week, but confidence is still uncertain at this time.
