Localized flash flooding may still pose a risk Sunday and Monday as a result of the excess rain we’ve received the past couple of days.

Unfortunately, today looks to be incredibly rainy and will likely persist throughout the day. Thankfully, the thunderstorm risk is low, although a rumble of thunder or two is possible. Winds will remain mostly calm, although some strong gusty conditions could occasionally hit Athens. Sunday evening into Monday we’ll see clearing skies briefly before they return Monday into early Tuesday. Skies will then clear once more much of Tuesday as high-pressure settles in. Thankfully, the remainder of the early work week will stay dry with calm conditions.
