Forecast Discussion
The cut-off low that gave us nothing but clouds with on and off precipitation throughout the week is now moving off to the east, but clouds will still linger from the system during the day today. Come Sunday, slight upper-level ridging will build as high-pressure settles into the area at the surface allowing for some sunshine to pop out. This will allow a transition to southerly flow allowing some warm air advection and increasing highs into the mid-50s on Sunday. However, this brief dry period won’t last long as low-pressure system approaches the Ohio Valley from the central plains moving northeast. This will lift a warm front over the area allowing highs to climb into the low-60s on Monday. This will bring widespread rain chances during the day on Monday and into Tuesday morning before a cold front sweeps in and brings cooler temperatures for the middle of the week. High-pressure will return briefly on Wednesday before another low-pressure system moves in south of the area. Stay tuned for future forecasts!
