A low pressure system that is slowly making its way up the east coast is bringing partly to mostly cloudy skies for Athens this Memorial Day Weekend. The clouds will keep temperatures in the mid-70s today with rain chances steadily increasing as night falls. Overnight, mostly cloudy skies can be expected with mild temperatures in the mid-50s and a chance for scattered showers. This chance will continue into Memorial Day as the low pressure system hangs around. Nevertheless, temperatures in the high 70s and mostly cloudy skies will keep Memorial Day pleasant until a scattered shower or thunderstorms rolls by. Any rain that occurs will be relatively short-lived but there may be multiple rounds.
