Our day is starting off on a chilly note so far with increased cloud coverage. A surface low pressure is moving eastward over Ontario this morning and dragging a strong cold front eastward with time. Currently the cold front is over eastern Illinois area with increased moisture out ahead of this storm, bringing rainfall to much of Indiana into western and central parts Ohio. Look for rain to overspread our area sometime between 9-10am and continue into evening hours with rain totals between 0.25″-0.50″ with isolated higher amounts possible by the end of the day. Temperatures will be on cooler side with slight breezy conditions which will give more of a raw feel to the environment. Once the cold front passes during late evening hours, we will cool to near freezing mark tonight with drying conditions. Temperatures during daytime Monday will not rise much as we will struggle to get out of 30’s with wind chills holding in the 20’s during the day despite the sunshine as the high pressure nears. Temperatures will fall through lower 20’s with clear skies on Monday night. Our weather for Tuesday will be no different from Monday with warming trends beginning for Wednesday as our high pressure moves eastward. Another strong cold front approaches our area later on Thursday with more rainfall chances.
