Forecast Discussion
High pressure continues to dominate the region, bringing pleasant weather and slightly warmer temperatures, with a high near 60 and a low near 34. A weak cold front will push through the area on Tuesday, but limited moisture will prevent any precipitation from developing. A shift in the weather pattern will begin Thursday afternoon as an upper level trough digs into the central U.S. and an accompanied low pressure system moves towards the Great Lakes region. Rain shower chances will be on the increase Thursday afternoon as a strong cold front pushes through along with this system, with the highest chances being Thursday afternoon into Friday; however, scattered rain showers are expected to linger into the weekend. Temperatures will dip by next weekend as cold air advection pushes in after the frontal passage.
