Forecast Discussion

High pressure remaining to our southwest continues to bring in northerly flow into our area and will lead to chilly conditions continuing into today, look for our temperatures to rise only into lower 60’s, but weather conditions should remain clear all day. I do want to note that given the strong gradient which exists over our area, look for winds to particularly be breezy today with 10-15mph with higher gusts from west direction so it may still feel chilly outside. Winds decrease later tonight and look for our temperatures to drop into upper 30’s to lower 40’s by Monday morning. As the high pressure starts to near eastern Kentucky area by that time, our temperatures will start to rise a touch as there is a more of southwesterly flow aloft. High pressure remain over Appalachians region for Tuesday and Wednesday and will continue to pump milder airmass northward in our area with continued dry and mostly clear conditions. Another strong cold front comes by on Thursday with rain chances and cool things down to average levels once again by then. Beautiful weather is here to stay for a while.
