Forecast Discussion

An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect from July 19, 12:00 PM EDT until July 20, 08:00 PM EDT

A mix of sun and clouds will dominate for the majority of the day, with only a slight chance now for an isolated shower. The system providing inclement weather the past couple of days will gradually move out of our region, with the next big story being the extremely warm temperatures that will enter SE Ohio. On both Friday and Saturday, high pressure out of the south will settle in and keep us dry, but in turn will usher in very hot and humid air. Daytime highs will top off in the mid-90s, with heat index values likely exceeding 100 both days. Sunday will also break 90 during the day, but chances for showers and storms will return and may help provide some more relief. A notable drop in temperatures will then be observed on Monday from an approaching cold front accompanied by daytime storms.
