Forecast Discussion
High pressure continues to build over our region, which will keep Athens dry today and allow for comfortable temperatures to persist. A gradual eastward shift of this system will allow for southerly flow to return on Friday, bumping temperatures back up into the mid-80s, with dewpoints closer to 60. Patchy fog is likely during the early morning hours on Friday again. Overall, the pattern looks to continue to remain the same throughout the weekend as high pressure dominates. However, high temperatures will reach the upper-80s on both Saturday and Sunday, with dewpoints back into the mid-60s, making the air feel muggy again. The next major chance for rain doesn’t appear to arrive until late next Monday into Tuesday.
