Early this morning, we will see some fog as cooling has caused moisture to condense, especially in areas along rivers. An upper-level disturbance that is pushing toward our area is forecast to bring daily chances for showers and thunderstorms. As we look further into this week, a weak cold front is anticipated to move through the Ohio Valley sometime around tonight into Friday morning, bringing a very slight drop in temperatures as well as some more showers and thunderstorms. Thankfully, we are not expecting any severe development at this time.

For the longer-term extended forecast, we are expecting mostly the same pattern with this upper-level longwave trough that is slowly making its way east. Some more scattered showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast over the weekend and into early next week, but long-term model guidance suggests that around mid-week next week some high pressure ridging will build in, allowing for nicer and more dry conditions.
