This system will send a warm front north tonight, increasing chances for precipitation heading into the overnight hours through Friday. A cold front will then pass through later on Friday, creating chances for showers and perhaps a few isolated thunderstorms with sufficient instability ahead of the front. The main threats with any thunderstorms that develop will be damaging winds and heavy downpours, which may lead to isolated flooding in some spots. After the passage of this system, high pressure will build into the region once again, clearing conditions out for the weekend.
