Forecast Discussion
Upper level ridging and surface high pressure will begin to shift east today as a low pressure system approaches from the west. This will bring a rather active pattern for the end of the work week, with rain showers beginning late tonight through Friday night. In addition to this, a tightening pressure gradient will yield gusty winds, with gusts up to 30 mph possible at times. Rain should taper off by Friday evening as the low pressure moves off to the northeast, with post frontal clouds replacing the rain. After a dry Saturday, another low pressure system will arrive from the southwest early Sunday, potentially starting precipitation off as a wintry mix before transitioning to rain; however no snow accumulation is expected. Unfortunately, next week’s pattern will not be the same as the past few weeks, but will rather be cold and gloomy to start out.
