However, chances for rain and thunderstorms will appear in the forecast heading into the evening hours of Friday as a strong cold front approaches from the west associated with a low pressure system. No severe thunderstorms are expected to develop, as instability will be weak and thus will not be sufficient enough for strong storms to form. After this front sweeps through, rain chances will dissipate from west to east, with upper level ridging building in from the west. This ridging pattern will provide sunny skies and mild temperatures heading into the next week.
