Forecast Discussion
The cut-off low pressure system that has brought us wet, cool, and gusty conditions this week is finally pushing south of the area, allowing upper level ridging to build in. Temperatures will now start warming up the next few days thanks to the ridging as well as surface high pressure, with highs near 80 by the weekend, in time for graduation at Ohio University! The next chances for precipitation will not occur until early next week as a shortwave disturbance affects the ridging pattern, providing chances for showers and isolated thunderstorms. Despite chances for rain next week, temperatures will remain on the warm side compared to the cooler temperatures we have been having. Enjoy the warm, drier weather the next few days!
