Forecast Discussion
Winds will increase in speed today as a cold front moves in from the west later tonight, with gusts between 20-30 mph possible. Widespread rain showers can be expected with totals between a quarter and half an inch by early this evening as the front approaches. After the frontal passage, much cooler temperatures will be present, with highs generally in the mid 40s. Conditions will be mainly dry as well as an upper level trough sits over the upper Midwest on Friday. However, a weak disturbance will move through Friday night into Saturday, sending another cold front into the area and bringing more chances for rain showers. Another disturbance will move through the area Sunday evening into Monday, keeping rain and even possible snow showers in the forecast. Temperatures will begin to warm up on Tuesday before the next cold front brings cooler conditions again next Thursday.
