A surface low-pressure system that has passed off to our northeast brought a cold front through that is going to allow for the chance for isolated showers this morning, but showers will likely stop before noon. The front also brings a slight drop in temperature that may not be very noticeable today with a high of 68. High pressure will start to build in today as this front has passed off to the east, but clouds will stick around until tomorrow evening. Showers will also be possible with moisture advection into the region due to southwesterly flow with a high-pressure system to our south. Showers on Friday will be scattered, but they will move out of the region by late afternoon into Friday evening as high pressure becomes dominant.

Sunny weather with a warming trend is in store heading into the weekend with the daytime high climbing into the mid-50s on Sunday. This weekend also expect a swift cooldown as the aforementioned surface high is expected to pull some cold air from up north down into our region, and you will especially feel this in the mornings with lows in the mid-to-high-20s.
