Currently, upper-level ridging is dominating with surface high pressure, keeping things warm and dry, which has felt very nice this week! As an upper-level trough begins to move into our region, disturbance aloft from this trough will assist in the formation of a surface low to the west. A warm front is expected to lift to the north through the Ohio Valley, bringing warmer temperatures with a little more moisture. This will be the precursor to a rainy weekend and a possibly rainy start to next week as the moisture will be available for showers as the rather mature low-pressure system nears, bringing with it a cold front.
