Technical Forecast Discussion
Short-term Forecast (Thursday 10/03/2024 through Saturday 10/05/2024):
Following the passage of a cold front, the remainder of the trailing clouds should exit our region by the afternoon allowing for pleasant sunny skies over the next few day. High pressure has begun to build back into the region bringing far drier conditions than seen last week. Fog is expected in the early morning until dissipating around 8-9am both Thursday and Friday due to the remaining moisture. As the sun rises, this fog will dissipate leaving clear skies in its wake. Temperatures will slowly climb into the low 80s throughout the week due to the increased sunshine and windless conditions. This also means our overnight lows will remain brisk in the low 50s.
Long-term Forecast (Sunday 10/06/2024 through Wednesday 10/09/2024):
A cold front stemming of a low-pressure system near the US/Canadian border will graze through the region Sunday delivering the chance for showers late Sunday night/early Monday morning. This will bring temperatures back down into the low 70s for daytime highs. Conditions will once again clear and high pressure will build back in bringing cloudless skies and the opportunity for overnight lows to drop into the chilly 40s. Otherwise, a fairly uneventful forecast ahead!
