As a deep upper-level trough approaches, a cold front associated with the surface low-pressure system will be moving closer to the region. This cold front will bring in clouds and a slight chance of rain this evening. That chance of rain will increase in the evening to late evening hours, and a rumble of thunder or two will even be possible. The heaviest of the rain will likely be this evening into tonight. Temperatures will be quite different from what we have experienced the last week, going from above average to slightly below average for this time of year.

The extended forecast unfortunately doesn’t look all that different for the Homecoming game on Saturday vs. Kent State, but thankfully only a slight chance of showers is expected at this time. Cloud coverage will slightly decrease over the weekend into Monday to start the new week off, with daytime high temperatures only reaching the high-50s and possibly 60 by Monday and lows dropping down into the upper-30s.
