Technical Forecast Discussion

Short-term Forecast (Thursday 09/19/2024 through Saturday 09/21/2024)

An upper-level ridge and high pressure will dominate across Southeast Ohio following the weakening and exit of the previous disturbance. Stable and dry conditions are expected as well as sunny skies. Winds will remain calm with a light breeze from the northeast. A warming trend will occur as the ridge strengthens with daytime highs reaching into the upper 80s. No significant or, to be honest, interesting weather is anticipated to end the week.

Long-term Forecast (Sunday 09/22/2024 through Wednesday 09/25/2024):

High pressure will begin to progress eastward Sunday. Humidity as well as slight cloud coverage will increase as we enter next week. Temperatures will decrease into the low to mid 80s as a weaken frontal boundary progresses into the region. Once again, a fairly uneventful forecast.
