Forecast Discussion

Periods of light rain and drizzle will be in the vicinity this morning and into the afternoon as the upper level low pressure north of the area shifts over the Great Lakes region. Temperatures will be much cooler, with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s and winds from the southwest between 5-10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph. On Friday, surface high pressure will build into the area, bringing dry weather for the day. The surface high will remain fixed until an upper level trough slides in on Saturday afternoon and into the evening, which will bring a slight chance of showers; however, moisture will be minimal, so anything that does fall may evaporate before it hits the ground. High pressure will then build back into the area on Sunday and Monday, with temperatures climbing back into the high 70s along with mostly sunny conditions.
