A surface low slowly making its way into our region will bring a warm front that will bring the daytime highs up a bit here over the next few days. A little more moisture is expected to be pulled into the region with this system, likely resulting in more sticky-feeling air outside. This moisture along the front is going to warrant the chance for some showers and thunderstorms today as that front lifts through the region. As this low-pressure system begins to weaken and decay, high pressure is anticipated to begin to build on Friday into Saturday, meaning some clearing in the clouds starting tomorrow, with a rather unseasonal high of 79.

Heading into the weekend, clouds continue to decrease, and the temperature will continue to climb, reaching up to the low 80s with still comfortable overnight lows. Persistent high pressure looks to keep this pattern around through at least the middle of next week. As outlined in the Climate Prediction Center 6-10 Outlook, we expect dryer air to accompany this warm-up.
