Forecast Discussion

High-pressure will continue to dominate through Thursday morning with high temperatures in the mid to upper-80s as pressure builds. By Thursday, highs can reach the low-90s with muggy conditions returning to the forecast. This is due to a mature midlatitude cyclone moving east and will become occluded. This will lift a warm front in the area Friday, which will provide the Ohio Valley to be located in the warm sector within a warm, unstable airmass to fuel showers and thunderstorms. As of right now, the severity of this case is uncertain, but be on the lookout for future forecasts for updates. A cold front will move through Saturday afternoon, which will continue chances for showers and storms with possible scattered showers on the back end of the system. Make sure to enjoy these next few dry days before the rain makes its way back.
