A weak cold front passed last night, allowing today’s high temperatures to cool slightly. Temperatures are expected to stay under 90 degrees this afternoon, with winds from the north between 0-5 mph and sunny skies. Tonight temperatures will drop into the low 60s, and winds will remain the same. Wednesday, cloud cover should increase as a warm front is expected to pass late afternoon and into the overnight hours. High temperatures will also remain below 90 degrees Wednesday afternoon.

Thursday and Friday temperatures will climb into the mid-90s as the high-pressure system continues overhead. Moisture from the warm front will cause heat index values over 100 degrees both days. Limiting exposure outside and drinking plenty of water these days is essential. Fortunately, a slightly stronger cold front will pass Friday night into Saturday, causing a small chance for some light rain showers and allowing for a cool weekend ahead with temperatures back into the low-to-mid 80s.
