Today and tomorrow, dry conditions and mostly sunny skies are expected as a brief high pressure dominates the region. Temperatures are expected to peak in the mid-80s with light winds from the W/WSW. Unfortunately by Wednesday night, a small upper-level shortwave will make its way into the area bringing a chance for some showers. Thursday will see the brunt of this shortwave as models are showing a weakening MCS passing through. At this time, models are only showing light showers over Athens as the MCS really dies out by the time it reaches SE Ohio. Friday and Saturday are also expected to be sunny and dry with temperatures in the mid-80s.
