Forecast Discussion

Surface high pressure has started to take over after the last system that brought a cold air mass in from the north. Dry conditions and sunny skies will stick around, but a dry cold front will pass through the region tonight into tomorrow, dropping those daytime temperatures to a chilly upper-30s high. After this cold front passes, more high pressure will build in, and with strong synoptic support this high-pressure system is anticipated to be very strong, thus it will stick around for a bit.

This high-pressure system is expected by models to be 1,043 mb at its strongest, which is 30 mb above standard sea-level pressure!! High pressure will start push out of the region Saturday into Sunday but otherwise expect very nice weather despite chilly temperatures to finish out finals week. Good luck Bobcats!
