A line of rain showers with some embedded thunderstorms begin to push through the region as of 7am and will continue throughout the day. Scattered thunderstorms will begin/continue to form as daytime heating continues into the afternoon and evening. Extensive cloud cover will be present across the area, which will restrict our high temperature to near 80 as well as keeping possible severity very low. Rain chances will remain throughout the night as the cold front from the northwest will try to pass through. In further progression, the front slightly stalls and becomes stationary over the region for Wednesday, which will generate another chance for showers and even some afternoon thunderstorms. Cloud cover begins to decrease as high pressure fills in from the north and becomes situated across the Great Lakes through late week. Temperatures will slowly climb, but maintain near mid 80s through the rest of the week. A remnant stationary front looks to extend across the region late week and into the weekend, which again opens up more possibility of popup afternoon showers/storms to occur.
