Forecast Discussion
This week looks to be a very active weather pattern with a series of upper-level shortwave troughs moving through the Ohio Valley the majority of the week. A low-pressure system located over the Great Lakes will lift a warm front early Tuesday morning followed by a cold front in the evening. Chances for showers and storms will continue this morning, but will move out and clouds will decrease throughout the day. There will be a brief break in the rain chances Tuesday night into Wednesday, but rain and storm chances will begin again Wednesday afternoon as another low-pressure system from the Rockies progresses eastward. This will lift a stationary front and create a hot and muggy airmass. Due to this, there will be chances for storms to pop-up every afternoon with dewpoints remaining in the low-70s creating uncomfortable conditions. Another cold front will move through Saturday morning with drier conditions moving in the latter half of the weekend.
