Forecast Discussion

Temperatures are expected to remain consistent throughout the week and will trend slightly upward near the weekend. Because of the presence of a stationary front at the surface, clouds are likely to remain over southern Ohio with an increased risk for showers and storms. As we move into Wednesday, this stationary front will dissipate as it merges with an approaching low-pressure system from the north. While rain and storm chances aren’t incredibly high, afternoon showers and storms could impact southeastern Ohio into the evening hours. By the end of the week, the rain chances remain minimal as yet another stationary front connected to a surface low returns. By Friday into Saturday, clouds will begin to dissipate as higher pressure returns to the region. However, this will allow our daytime temperatures to soar back into the upper 80s and possibly even 90.
