A prominent low pressure system is at our doorstep, and we’ll begin to feel the effects of it beginning in the morning. Starting off with a daytime high of 60 degrees due to the comfortable warm-sector of this system, cloud cover will be overcast once the sun rises, and will remain that way through the rest of the visible day. A weaker warm front will soon pass through, and behind it lies plentiful amounts of rain and perhaps a few rumbles of thunder, beginning an few hours before noon and lasting into the later afternoon, driven by the cold front. This cold front is set to pass through by the later evening, and a few trailing showers could be seen early. Breezier conditions can be expected as well, with gusts up to 25 mph due to the strength of this system. Overnight, cloud cover will diminish and winds will die down.

Wednesday looks to be much calmer, with temperatures still in the low 60s. Scattered clouds will be visible during the day into the night, and high pressure will creep back into the area as we enter more of a troughing pattern by the late week. Temperatures may drop on Thursday back into the high 50s, but eventually more zonal flow will be reestablished, taking temperatures back into the comfortable 60s. Don’t get too comfortable, though, as another round of low pressure will trail into the weekend, making some more chances for wet weather.
