A cold front will pass through the region today delivering cooler air behind and reaching even colder temperatures come Wednesday. Showers along the frontal passage as well as behind are expected throughout much of the day. This rain will continue as an upper-level trough digs into the region. A wintery mix is expected to begin Wednesday as this precipitation continues and cooler air enters the region. Little to no snow accumulation is expected out of this system but it is possible to see a couple of snow flakes. This will continue into Friday but will slow throughout the day into the weekend.
