Forecast Discussion

An unseasonably warm day is in store across Southeast Ohio. High temperatures will be in the mid 80s due to an upper level ridge off of the Eastern Seaboard bringing in warm air from the south. Today will be a few degrees cooler than yesterday due to more clouds being present and heights slowly lowering. Tonight will be warm, with little fog expected due to a well-mixed boundary layer. Wednesday will be the last day of the summer like heat before a major pattern change. A cold front will approach the region late Wednesday night into Thursday bringing showers to the region. Localized downpours are possible due to precipitable water values being high, but due to an overall lack of instability, thunder is not anticipated at this time. Mostly dry weather and below average temperatures are expected Friday into Saturday. Patchy frost is possible Friday night, especially in valleys.
