Forecast Discussion

Areas of fog will be present this morning between 8am and 9am. A strong cold front has just passed through the area, disrupting the warm, dry weather we have been having. The warmer weather will be replaced with a much cooler and rainy day today due to a driving upper level short wave trough and weakening low level flow. Showers will taper off tonight as the cold front and surface low push east. Temperatures will remain cooler for the remainder of the week, with highs ranging from the mid to low 60s. Eventually, another cold front along with a surface low to our north will pass through the area Wednesday night into Thursday. As of right now, no significant precipitation will be associated with the front, but a slight chance of showers still remains. By the end of the week, models indicate a shortwave trough will be approaching the area from the west, increasing the chance for scattered showers on Monday.
