An area of surface high pressure in combination with upper-mid level ridging is providing us with high heat. An inflow of moisture will increase our relative humidity making these conditions quite unpleasant. As a shortwave passes through the flow to the north resulting in some instability as well as this increase in moisture, the chance for some light isolated showers is viable tonight into Wednesday but, is unlikely. The NWS has issued a heat advisory until Wednesday at 8pm due to high heat and humidity increasing heat indicies into triple-digits. If you are to be outdoors during this time of high heat, be sure to stay hydrated and check on loved ones who may be more sensitive to heat.
