Today, beautiful conditions are to be expected once again following this pattern of higher pressure. A few clouds here and there are to be expected periodically, with winds calm and temperatures in the mid-50s. Overnight, a few more clouds will begin to develop past midnight and into the early morning, and these will continue to stick around throughout Thursday as well. Mostly overcast conditions will be prevalent, but temperatures will rise all the way to 60 degrees. Overnight, cloud cover will continue to mostly dominate the night sky, but any chances of precipitation will hold off, for the moment.

Due to a low pressure system moving through the northern plains, a broad cold front will push a chance of rain showers into the area during late Friday. Any chances of rain during the day are minimal, but a greater chance for more organized showers develops in the early morning of Saturday. However, the intensity of this rain will be quite light, so don’t expect any disruptions to your morning routine. Temperatures will cool off after the passage of this front, dropping back to the low 50s by the end of the weekend.
