The rain will be back today as widespread showers will enter into our area this afternoon due to an approaching low pressure system. This system will bring us rainy conditions for the remainder of our week and for our weekend. Because of the continued chances of showers and thunderstorms we are under a slight risk (2/4) for excessive rainfall as well as a marginal risk (1/5) for severe weather as some of these thunderstorms may bring heavier downpours and higher wind gusts. 

As the rain continues to dump into already saturated soils, the risk of localized and flash flooding still stands. Please be aware of ponding on roadways and low lying areas.

We can expect similar conditions to the last few days temperature wise with highs in the mid to upper 80s until a weak cold front comes through on Friday allowing us to cool slightly, only lowering us into the low 80s.
