Cloud cover is expected to increase this afternoon as a new low-pressure system approaches. Afternoon temperatures will still be incredibly warm this afternoon, up into the upper 80s. Similar, yet cloudier conditions are anticipated tomorrow as well, as the system continues east. Thursday night into Friday morning the surface cold front is expected to pass and bring widespread showers and much cooler air to the region, which will linger throughout the day Friday.

Saturday, afternoon temperatures will really fall, down into the upper 50s, as the low-pressure system continues to pull in colder air. Long-term models suggest that there is the potential for a few scattered rain showers on Saturday, however, there is currently little agreement in time. The showers should remain brief and light though, and should not heavily impact Homecoming festivities. Look to future forecasts for timing details, as we await future model runs.
