A Special Weather Statement is currently in effect for dense fog in areas. Fog is expected to dissipate around 9 AM to 10 AM EDT. This will impact any morning commute, so make sure to slow down and be safe when driving in foggy areas.
With the passage of two cold fronts yesterday, the upper-level trough is pushing out of our region. Expect some clouds today as this system moves off, but no precipitation is anticipated. After this trough exits our region, upper-level ridging will contribute to high pressure at the surface, keeping things clear and dry for the next few days, with more fall-like temperatures in the low to mid-70s. Low temperatures are going to dip down into the mid to high 40s, so you will definitely need a sweatshirt for the morning as it will be somewhat chilly.
Friday through Sunday, expect mostly the same weather with a slight warming trend as this ridging persists. However on Sunday, another low-pressure system to our north is expected to bring a cold front to the region, so we will be monitoring that for chances of thunderstorms or precipitation.
