Forecast Discussion

Athens will be getting a summer like day as highs will approach almost 60 degrees as we have a low pressure system coming into the region. The warm front will pass through and give the area sun for most of the day. Into tonight clouds and rain chances go up as the cold front with the low pressure will move through the region later on in the evening. The low pressure system will continue to move to the east tonight and the rain will stick around to the start of the day on Monday. With colder air filtering in on Monday, we will see a transition to snow in the early afternoon hours. Snow will be possible into the evening hours Monday, but will taper off as the night goes on. On Tuesday, high pressure will move in with cooler temperatures settling in for the rest of the week.
