Forecast Discussion
Precipitation chances and cloudy skies will increase tonight through Saturday as a low pressure system continues to influence the area. Gusty southwesterly winds will develop in response to a tightening pressure gradient, with gusts up to 25 mph possible. Total rain accumulations of 0.25-0.5″ can be expected. Rain will taper off as a cold front moves through the area Saturday night, with drier weather anticipated for most of the day on Sunday thanks to high pressure building. Precipitation chances will return Sunday night as a low pressure system moves into the Great Lakes, bringing a warm front up from the south. Looking forward to next week, a series of weather disturbances will move through, resulting in rain shower chances occurring almost daily. A frontal boundary is also predicted to linger, eventually lifting as a warm front, followed by a cold front passing through mid week. Temperatures will be relatively mild for this time of year, with highs in the 50s-60s.
