Forecast Discussion
A warm and muggy Friday night in store as conditions look to remain dry and mostly clear heading into the first part of Saturday. More exhausting heat and humidity for Saturday as our high temperature will be slightly increased in comparison to today’s high of 91. A high in the mid-90s with such humid conditions will once again run the risk for a nearing heat index of 100 for tomorrow. Things begin to change as a nearing cold front from the WNW will approach the region late Sunday and pass late Monday. Cloud cover and the risk for thunderstorms will increase throughout Sunday afternoon and evening bringing the possibility of some heavy downpours and even a strong storm. Clouds and rain showers will continue as this system moves out by late Monday night. Strong and amplified ridging will occur out in the Mid-west as high pressure and cooler temperatures enter the region for the remainder of the week.
