Technical Forecast Discussion Meet the Forecaster

Forecast Discussion

A broad upper-level trough that is parked over the eastern half of the U.S. has been bringing us some rather nasty weather lately. A strong high-pressure system over the southwestern U.S. is to blame for this repetitive pattern. Tonight and over the weekend, this high-pressure system is going to nose its way further east, bringing us some more pleasant high-pressure weather. Clear skies and warm temperatures are expected, and precipitation doesn’t look likely at this time.

As we move into the extended forecast period, temperatures will start to climb, likely reaching into the low to mid-90s by the middle of the week. Make sure to get out and enjoy this nice weather for the time being!
