Tonight, a chance for small, localized storms still lingers in the area from abundant instability. Overnight, temperatures will drop to a low of 71 degrees, keeping the environment still moderately unstable into the evening hours. Because of this, another broken line of scattered thunderstorms could impact the region close to midnight. A slight risk of severe weather still persists around this time, notably for wind damage. Another line of storms, this time on the leading edge of a cold front, could also enter the region in the morning hours, potentially around 9 AM. These storms look to be less organized, however, and the risk for severe storms has been reduced to marginal. Regardless, this still poses inconvenience for the morning commute. A high of 93 tomorrow and dew points still in the low 70s once again generates instability, and an emerging troughing pattern will push winds to move from the north to northwest. However, cloud cover will limit the amount of instability, making line systems more difficult to generate. Any storms that do pop up during the day Saturday will be short lived and isolated once more.

Pressure will drop Saturday, and temperatures overnight will fall to a low of 67, finally beginning the end of the week’s ridging pattern. Any chance of pop up showers and thunderstorms will taper off as the sun sets, and winds will be from the north at around 0-5 mph. Sunday, a high of 88 and dewpoints falling back to the 60s will be the herald of a building cold-core high pressure, which will keep conditions in somewhat cooler temperatures and calmer weather. Partly cloudy skies and winds 5-10 mph from the north will make Sunday plenty more bearable than the preceding week. The rest of the week will follow suit, with mostly sunny skies, temperatures in the mid 80s, and little chance for rain.
