Forecast Discussion

Clear skies in the evening will see some scattered clouds overnight. Our region is currently stationed within a deep trough, and will soon be influenced by Tropical Storm Ophelia in the continuing weekend. Saturday will see mostly cloudy skies, with temperatures back down into the low 70s. Pressure will drop as well due to the Tropical Storm making its way up the East Coast, but our area isn’t expecting any rain. Winds will be a little more breezy Saturday, with gusts potentially up to 20 mph.

Broken clouds will still remain overnight Saturday, and Sunday will see more of the same conditions, with mostly cloudy skies earlier becoming completely overcast by the afternoon. Again, no rain is expected this day either, but it will certainly look gloomy. As the week begins, pressure will stabilize as the Tropical Storm weakens and dissipates, and a brief ridge Monday will be followed by a growing trough Tuesday, which will likely bring some showers to our area Tuesday and Wednesday alongside temperatures in the mid 70s.
